Marine Industry Modules
The focus of management skills in the marine industry modules of the MBA in Marine Industry training programme is in the specific features of maritime industry. The marine industry modules, consisting of 6 study points, include contact lessons and a seminar paper as a tutored individual development project, the aim of which is to create a linkage with the studies and one’s own work tasks. The marine industry modules can also be taken separately as further education courses in the field. The module on customership management in the marine industry, as well as the module on managing networks in the marine industry will start in the autumn 2008.
Leadership and Management Modules
After having completed the marine industry modules, the MBA in Marine Industry training programme can be completed, according to the student’s individual preferences, in one of the following educational organisations providing MBA and eMBA programmes: Tampere University of Technology/Edupoint, or TKK Executive School of Business. The marine industry modules will be fully credited in the one of these programmes, and the MBA in Marine Industry students will get compensation for the tuition fee accordingly.
Tampere University Of Technology/Edupoint
Pori Executive MBA 90 ECTS
The MBA programme of the Tampere University of Technology/Edupoint is run in the Finnish language. The modules deal with anticipation of future, strategic management, business operations models and business intelligence, management of customership and processes, innovations, technology and product development, managing of data systems, management and work culture in a self-regenerating organisation, economic management of business, and leadership and personnel administration.

eMBA Turku 120 ECTS
The Executive Master of Business Administration (eMBA) programme at Turku School of Economics is intended for persons with several years of experience in management or expert positions. The Institute for Executive Education also offers long-term executive education programmes, which can be taken as independent programmes or as moduls of our eMBA programme.
The eMBA Turku -programme consists of the following modules:

Fees for the marine industry modules:
Participation fee of 1 500 €/marine industry module includes contact lessons and the training material, tutoring of the individual development project, and lunches and coffees during the course days. The students are responsible for all travel and accommodations costs, as well as costs for training-related literature.
The students having passed the marine industry modules will be fully credited in one of the collaborative MBA programmes, and they will get compensation for the tuition fee accordingly.
